Higher court sides with antitrust in 1.2 bln rbl fine for Apple

MOSCOW, Oct 3 (PRIME) -- The Ninth Arbitration Court of Appeal on Tuesday sided with a lower instance and confirmed legality of a decision of the Federal Antimonopoly Service that found Apple guilty of imposing its payment service in App Store for applications developers and a 1.2 billion ruble fine slapped on the U.S. company.

The higher court rejected Apple’s complaint against the decision made by the Moscow Arbitration Court in May, and it came in force.

The lower court also dropped Apple’s request to invalidate all antitrust decisions.
